I have been married to Mike, a journalist for six years. I have a 21 year old son, Francis, from my first marriage. He was my inspiration to start scrapping! He lives in South Africa with his father.
Mike and I have been living in Hong Kong for four years, and I have been teaching English since I arrived here, prior to that I was a medical secretary, so going back to study to become a teacher was a bit of a change.
Over the years I have tried my hand at many crafts. These include: porcelain doll making, decoupage, ceramic painting, beadwork, dressmaking, embroidery, knitting, crochet, teddy bear making, jewellry making, fabric painting, cake decorating. And of course, Scrapping. My favourite subject at school was, naturally, Home Economics.
I am currently a (mature) student, registered at university in South Africa, studying for a degree in Communication Science and Linguistics. I am about halfway through, and hope to complete my degree at the end of 2008.
We have five cats at home, Persians are my first love but we also have an alley cat who is rather handsome and spoiled.
I love to travel, and I also love to eat! I am a confirmed chocoholic and I hide my stash so that I don't have to share it with anyone!
Since I started scrapping, nothing is safe from my roving eyes. I look at things in a whole different light and hoard tickets, boarding passes and all sorts of bits and pieces that would previously have been thrown away. I "stole" a plastic swizel stick from a cocktail I ordered in Samui because it will make my page complete........ I even bought my unsuspecting husband a camera for Christmas so that I can have extra pictures to choose from. Now THAT is a confirmed scrapaholic!
I am truly excited about offering you new ideas and working with all of you, I know that we will create some wonderful layouts and projects, but more importantly I am looking forward to meeting all of my "new" scrapping friends!
